DAY 2

Bottom Line: You can know God through His Word.

**Bible Story:**Josiah • 2 Kings 22–23

Fruit Roll Up Scrolls

What You Need: Stick pretzels; Fruit Roll-Ups®OR Fruit by the Foot®; plastic knives

What You Do:

• Place the stick pretzels and fruit items in the center of the tables.
• Let the children cut a small square from the fruit items with a plastic knife. Show them how to roll each end of their fruit around two pretzels to create a scroll. If you have enough supplies, let each child create two scrolls.

What You Say: “In our Bible story today, we learned about a very young king—King Josiah—who discovered something very special. Do you know what it was? (Pause for responses) Yes! It was a scroll containing God’s law! King Josiah recognized that God’s Word was special. God has given us His Word so that we can know how to follow Him. That’s what we want you to remember today: [Bottom Line] You can know God through His Word.”

**Bottom Line:**God sent Jesus to save us.
